What is Mezzanine Floor (Tensile Floor)?
A mezzanine is the part of a building between the main floors, typically not counted among the total floors of a building. Usually, the mezzanine has low ceilings.
Mezzanine floors, which are also commonly referred to as mezzanine floors, must have a minimum height of 5.50 metres between the floor and the ceiling. In these buildings, a new usage area is created that is connected to the floor with the help of a staircase and covers at most half of the floor and has a minimum interior height of 2.40 metres.
Where are the Mezzanine Floor Usage Areas?
In industrial applications, mezzanine floor systems are generally semi-permanent floor systems built between two permanent original floors in buildings. These structures are usually free standing and in most cases can be dismantled and relocated.
