Pre-engineered structures are an example of bolted steel construction designed, fabricated, shipped and built by a company to its owner.
- Light Steel Structureis a type of construction common in North America and parts of Europe for residential and small buildings. It is similar to timber-framed construction, except that two-storey light gauge steel members are used instead of timber. Light gauge steel is steel in the form of thin (1-3mm) steel sheets bent into shape to form C-sections or Z-sections.
